This February I threw in the towel a full time job and steady paycheck to become full-time independent writer.

I am not new at all to the world wide web of writing. Writing and research, in one form or another, continues to be my life’s career. Whether or not this was like a newspaper reporter, magazine editor, technology analyst or book author, the abilities are the same. Whatever i didn’t expect, though, may be the plethora of writing assistance online. There isn’t any shortage of help online to steer me into a very successful and six figure freelance writing career. Wow.

The stories they tell about how exactly they were given started, the mistakes they made after which broke with the freelancers glass ceiling to get highly successful freelancers that command a boatload of cash for his or her work. And so i wanted to research which of those successful freelance writing tutors had the best way forward. Where would I choose to invest my precious freelance fees to get to a higher level of earning? Surely there needed to be some differences. There are so many, it invested some time to create a list. I finally picked several to get started.

How to Find Success like a Freelance Writer

In reading through the different Websites, here is what I learned from all of them:

1. Build a Website.
2. Begin a blog.
3. Set a consistent writing schedule.
4. Pitch for jobs.
5. Be sensible about your knowledge of the freelance industry. Join my newsletter or book to understand what you need to do.
6. Learn how to write a great query letter.
7. Be persistent about pursuing assignments.
8. Determine what you want to write about. Would you specialize or are you currently a generalist.
9. Seek information on your subject to be sure it is factual.
10. Promote your work on your Website.

Those sites tell me that if I follow their guidelines, I will be as successful because the posters. All of the posts offered sold books that entered the various points at length. Some promised me I’d make $5,000 a month basically bought it and followed the advice on how to be considered a successful freelance writer.
It’s comforting to know there are several successful freelancers out there. Hopefully when I’m succeeding, I too, will promote my success and maybe write a magazine about how exactly I did it and offer it on my own “How to” article writing advice.
